Protests are becoming organized on social media surrounding a caved-in National Testing Service (NTS) document in Dir, Battagram, and Bannu. A few students from Dera Ghazi Khan, Bannu, Nowshera, Dir, and Tank took the scholastic placement tests for teachers. The students protesting said the following question paper for recruiting primary school teachers in Battagram was circulated several hours prior to the scheduled exam on WhatsApp.
We saw the photos of a whole NTS test on Facebook and Whatsapp, a Dir student said. The candidate pointed out that such leaks have been part of the NTS test lately.Leaks of paperwork made public both before the NTS examination and after its results were publicly released in recent months were noted. The government has not addressed incompetence and mismanagement in the NTS testing program. Another candidate asserted that leaked papers were shared for all subjects, including Math.English, Current Affairs, Islamiyat, and General Science, adding that instructors permitted students to use their cell phones during closing dates. Additionally, they were assisted by the vigilantes at the center.Another student explained that with the NTS, only 25 percent of the candidates receive merit-based positions while the remainders are offered or become corrupted.
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s Chief Minister, Mahmood Khan, is overseeing the investigation into this issue. Mahmood announced a “zero tolerance” policy on corruption and said that the management was to choose the government officers based on merit.
